"Dictionnaire Contenant Les Anecdotes Historiques de L'Amour", Tome III, GEO - LO, A. Troyes (1811 edition.) This book is 214 years old.
"Oeuvres Complètes de Voltaire, Politique et Législation", Tome III (1825 edition.) This book is 200 years old.
"Instruction sur L'Histoire de France, par le Ragois" Tome I, M. De Foris (1826 edition.) This book is 199 years old.
"Histoire de Naufrages", Tome second, J.-B.-B. Eyries (1825 edition.) This book is also 200 years old.
"Le Combat Spirituel" (1820 edition.) This book is 205 years old.
Condition:
Just one peek at the pages of these books will tell you their age. The typeface and print ooze style and authenticity. The pages are fluffy and soft, scuffed with genuine distress, discoloration and have a time-worn quality that only few books possess.
All are perfectly readable but some of the pages are loose and there may be one or two missing pages. They need to be handled with respect for their age and condition.
These books would make an excellent gift for anyone with an enthusiasm for antiquarian books.
Most importantly they have that "old book smell" reminiscent of libraries and bookshops from a by-gone era - fabulously comforting.
