This pair of elegant, ornate, French wall light sconces will add a touch of "Rococo/Baroque" style to any period home. In excellent vintage condition, they have the look and feel of stylish early 19th century "French Empire" interiors. Sumptuously ornate, each sconce has a fixed arm with a socket for a candle-shaped, screw fitting bulbs. Each branch terminates in a decorated drip tray bowl, with the original imitation "dripping" candle covers that slide on and off of the stems easily. The candle drips are the originals, in cream cardboard, and in good condition.
The back plate measures 30ms/ 1 ft long, from top to bottom. Each sconce is 26cms/ 10" deep, and weighs 900gms/ 2 lbs!
These lights are wired with the original vintage wiring. The wires are concealed in a deep grove that runs through the arms, the wire sleeves are a different colour in each, one brown and one black. They are both in full working order, the photos shows them both lit, in full working order, complete with "candle" bulbs. *Please note that the light bulbs are for display only and will not be dispatched with the sconces due to the various voltages used around the world.
