Lunéville Faience is one of the most famous French pottery manufacturers. It has been located in Lunéville, Lorraine, France since 1730. This Lunéville K & G (Keller et Guerin) mark dates from 1923 onwards.
This would make an ideal table centrepiece for serving a beautifully prepared Trout, Salmon or other fish. It would also be a wonderful party or buffet piece, for serving stylish canapés and nibbles, to add elegance to your setting. It is ideal for large catering events such as weddings, banquets and big family gatherings.
It has a tactile, fluted, edge with a wide, 'ribbed', border and 'gilt' line trim. The larger illustration, to the right end of the platter is of a gorgeous Pike swimming amongst reeds and shells, with a smaller Perch swimming to the left. The colours and details of the motif are incredibly accurate and realistic, in a subtle palette of greens and muted browns/ochres.
Elegantly understated and stylishly sophisticated.
Very collectible, it is an ideal gift for fish chefs. Perfect for fish lovers the world over it would make a truly original present for anyone who loves fishing and cooking fish.
What a perfect presentation plate for the one that didn't get away!
