This is a set of six oyster/ seafood plates measuring 24cms/ 9½" diameter.
Glazed in bright white they each have six wells, for serving individual oysters/scallops, around a central, circular, lemon well, where you serve your lemon ready for squeezing onto the seafood. They look simply gorgeous on the table and are both elegant and stylish. The shiny glaze is very tactile and glossy and they are delicate, weighing just 500gms/ 1.1 lbs each.

They all have the 'L'Hirondelle, Porcelaine' (the 'Swallow' Porcelain manufacturer based in Mehun sur Yèvre, France) mark on the undersides. They are all in excellent condition with no chips, scratches or cracks. One of the plates has a flaw in the porcelain, present since manufacture, before the glazing and firing process. The glaze runs over it. It is barely detectable and in no way detracts from the beauty or quality of this gorgeous plate set. We have photographed it to show you.
