An original 1960s, free standing coat rack. This coat rack is weighted at the base, for stability. Solid and sturdy, it is heavy, weighing 6.2kgs/ 13.6 lbs! In a classic mid century modern design, with eight arms, it is perfect for hallways/entryways and boot rooms. A quality, collectible statement piece for lovers of mid-century furniture. It comes apart into three pieces. The large base has a metal insert to give it stability, the centre section has three upturned arms, and the "crown" has five upturned arms.
In great, vintage, condition, it does have some surface scratches/scuffs and scrapes from years of genuine use. The screw on the inside of the lower central section appears to have had a small repair at some point in its life, it works perfectly now, and the sections fit together tightly for strength and stability. It has many, many years of service yet to offer.
Hard to part with, it is one of our favourite "finds" ever!
It stands 135cms/ 53" (4ft 5½") and weighs 6.2kgs/ 13.6 lbs approx. The base is a huge 40cms/ 15¾" diameter. Each arm is 18cms/ 7" long.
This item will be disassembled for shipping. No tools are required for reassembly. All you have to do is screw the three parts together.
