They all have a tactile, fluted, edge, with a delicate gilt "line" border and filigree "vine leaves" pattern. They measure 24cms (9½") diameter. They each weigh 400gms (14 ozs)
There are six different designs illustrating various pairs of fish swimming amongst water weeds in lakes/rivers. The colours are muted, subtle greens and grey/blues. The fish are accurately represented, dynamic in movement, with gorgeous detailing on the heads, fins and tails.
The plates are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, they have some light surface scratches, consistent with their age and use, but nothing whatsoever to detract from their beauty or functionality. They have the "Porcelaine de France, Digoin" mark on the undersides.
