François-Xavier de Feller (1735–1802) was a Belgian Jesuit who after the suppression of his order worked as a prolific and internationally influential journalist and encyclopaedist who opposed radical Enlightenment ideas on politics, religion and society, sometimes under the pseudonym Flexier de Reval.
These 200 year old books have marbleised edges and covers. The patina on these books is amazing. They are "aged to perfection" and will give you an instant "old library" effect and add an extra 'French chic' to your collection.
The books are in amazing condition, with no loose or missing pages. Perfectly usable all completely readable, the spines have mild "scuffs" and the pages have "age spots" and edge discoloration which adds to their charm and authenticity.
Most importantly they have that "old book smell" reminiscent of libraries and bookshops from a by-gone era - fabulously comforting.
If you choose to line them up (like a normal library shelf) then you need a space 22cms/ 8¾" high x 50cms/ 20" long and 14cms/ 5 ½" deep. They weigh 9.5 kgs/ 21 lbs altogether!
