This is a stunning set of five old French books in faded "light/duck egg blue/grey" tones. They are "aged to perfection", perfect for shabby chic displays and an "old library" effect.
They look lovely tied up with twine and displayed on a coffee table, sideboard, mantelpiece, bedside table or dresser. The covers have faded with time to subtle, dusky, soft shades and the pages are yellowed with age, with age spots. They make excellent film and photo props and would be ideal for a boho, or shabby chic, themed wedding as a table centerpiece decoration.

The titles are: "Les Temps Modernes, classe de quatrième", Albert Malet (1915 edition.) "Le Moyen-Age, jusqu'a le guerre de cent ans, classe de quatrième" A. Malet et J. Isaac (1931 edition.) "Histoire Contemporaine depuis le milieu di XIXè siècle, classe de philospohie-mathématiques", A. Malet et J. Isaac (1931 edition.) "Excusions sur les Bords du Rhin" Tomes I and II, Alexandre Dumas (1822 edition.) These books are 103 years old.
They are all in excellent condition, gently scuffed. The pages are fluffy and soft, time-worn and timeless, their pages are yellowed with age, with age spots. The spines have sustained some damage, but are all the more charming for it! Most importantly they have that "old book smell" reminiscent of libraries and bookshops from a by-gone era - fabulously comforting.
To display them altogether, in a bundle tied with twine, you will need a minimum space / 5½" high x 19cms/ 7½" long x 14cms/ 5½" deep. Altogether they weigh 2.4kgs/ 5.3lbs.
