This is a set of nine mismatched blue and white transferware plates and bowls. A one-off curated collection, perfect for displaying on a country cottage dresser or for weddings and vintage tea parties.
Each plate pattern is different, each is equally as lovely. These look absolutely charming when layering on top of each other.
You will receive exactly this set of plates.
This collection weighs 3.7kgs/ 8.1 lbs altogether.
There is one large dinner plate, measuring 26cms/ 10¼" diameter, marked "Cipa, Porcelain, Italy."
One large dinner plate, measuring 25cms/ 9¾" diameter by "Villeroy and Boch", from their "Burgenland" range.
One dinner plate measuring 24cms/ 9½" diameter by "Gien, France."
One large bowl, measuring 23.5cms/ 9¼" diameter x 3.5cms/ 1¼" deep, marked "Porcelaine, Pyroblan, B.P."
One medium bowl, measuring 23cms/ 9" diameter x 3.5cms/ 1¼" deep, from the "Romantic" range by "Sarreguemines, France."
One bowl measuring 21.5cms/ 8½" diameter x 3cms/ 1" deep, by "Ridgeway of Staffordshire, England", from the "Pagoda" range.
One salad/side plate measuring 20.5cms/ 8" diameter marked "Blue Fruit, Wood & Sons, England."
One tea plate, measuring 17cms/ 6¾" diameter by "Gien, France."
One small bowl, measuring 16cms/ 6¼" diameter x 4.5cms/ 1¾" deep, marked "Mynott, fine ironstone, England 1982" from their "Melody" range.
They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. They have some desirable ageing "hairline crackle" to the glazes and possibly some small microscopic edge nibbles, which is to be expected with the age of these plates and is desirable for that "antique" look and feel, adding to their authenticity and charm.
